Believe the hype - great for dry curly hair

Received a sample many months ago from large beauty store and threw it in the drawer. Found it a few days ago I tried it on a whim, not expecting much. Used half the sample tube and was genuinely surprised by how much of a difference it made in my frizz and dryness in just one application. I have untreated 2C curly hair (fine texture w/ long, soft spirals) that has gotten much drier and frizzier with age. I have always loved my hair and was getting depressed by the changes - no curly hair shampoos, conditioners or styling products have been making much of a difference and some actually worsened the problems. LOTS of money spent on premium brands. I hadn’t considered #3 because I had the perception it was for color treated and/or damaged hair and had never thought of my hair in those categories. So glad I tried it! Used the second half of the sample yesterday. Came to breakfast with it applied to damped hair, so I casually mentioned to my husband that I was trying a new hair treatment to see if it helped. Out of the blue this morning he said that he could really see the difference and that the product must work. So out of character for him. He’s a man that does not comment on something like that unless it’s a huge change. Just ordered the large size. Now I believe the hype!

A classic I will always go back to

The olaplex no. 3 is such a classic. It’s good for your hair, always makes it look better. I find that this product can be used with or without the whole system. I always get good results with or without the shampoo and conditioner. The oil is great too. The only con I find and it’s more of an inconvenience for me, is having to wet hair in shower, getting out, applying it, waiting, and then shampooing but perhaps instead of rinsing my hair in the shower I can use a spray bottle before applying it?

feel a difference after 1st use

i love using #3 as a leave in treatment its not too heavy

Love this, leaves my hair so soft and silky. When my hair feels really dry or I've used a lot of heat on it I always use this product to "heal" the damage

Hair damage/breakage after using for <1 month

Unfortunately after using this product for a few weeks my hair suddenly started breaking and falling out. I have always had extremely strong and thick hair, and now I have extremely weak and brittle hair since I started using this product.

DON'T RECOMMEND

My scalp feels like burning and super sore. I'm very worried what will happen to my hair. 3rd day since I used it and scalp still very painful and losing hair.

Never again.

If I could give this zero stars I would. It was recommended to me and I had heard a lot of hype about it. I used it for approximately 1.5-2 months and my hair began excessively falling out. Super disappointing for such an expensive product that was supposed to be “amazing”. It’s in the garbage where it belongs.

Great for damaged hair

This is my second purchase of No.3...I paired it with No. 1 as well. These products really improved the look and feel of my damaged hair. I will definitely repurchase.

A must-have.

My hair cannot live without this stuff. Once I stop incorporating it into my routine, my hair becomes much drier. After using it my hair is super soft and looks much healthier.

Lost hair

I left the olaplex 3 for overnight and in the morning I got just whole hair in a 1 big tangle, that impossible was to brushed, I have to shaved my hair that was really long

This product never ceases to amaze me with its almost immediate results. My hair is so soft I will never NOT appreciate the formula this product has. Amazing love it!
