I am constantly on the lookout for effective solutions to combat congested pores and occasional breakouts, the Ole Henriksen Daily D-Clog Pore-Clearing Cleanser has become a welcome addition to our skincare routine. This cleanser promises to deep-clean and clarify without stripping the skin, and after several weeks of consistent use, I can confidently say it largely delivers on those claims. The scent is a refreshing, subtle botanical aroma – not overpowering, but pleasant and invigorating, making the cleansing experience feel like a mini spa moment. The texture is a smooth, creamy gel that lathers into a soft, airy foam with just a small amount of water. What truly sets this cleanser apart is its blend of active ingredients. It features a potent combination of BHAs salicylic acid and gluconolactone, which are excellent for exfoliating both the surface of the skin and within the pores, helping to dissolve oil and dead skin cells. The inclusion of green fusion complex a proprietary blend of green tea, eucalyptus, algae, and Irish moss extracts and neem seed oil feels like a thoughtful addition, aiming to soothe and nourish while the acids do their work. After each wash, my skin feels genuinely clean and refreshed, but crucially, not tight or dry. This is a significant win for a pore-clearing cleanser, as many can leave the skin feeling parched. Over time, I've noticed a visible improvement in the clarity of my pores. They appear less congested, and the overall texture of my skin feels smoother. [I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I actually really enjoy this cleanser as someone with sensitive and dry skin. I also have many pores on my face. There is no smell to this and the texture is nice, don’t need too much product. It also has not made me break out.
