Best powder for oily skin

Powder is my least favorite thing to shop for, and I've been using this YSL powder in #2 for the last 4 years. It's worked so well with every foundation I use and doesn't look flat. Skin always looks soft with this. Just a shame that there's not more product for the price, but a compact will last me at least 3 months with consistent use so I'm ok with that. Nothing works as well for me as this powder! Love it so much! Please don't discontinue this one!

GO-TO Product

This powder is my go-to. It controls oil like no other. I haven't been able to find anything else like this. I've tried everything from MAC to Dior. I am not sure why people are complaining about the sponge. Unless you're in middle school, I could not imagine applying powder with a sponge--use a brush.

it's truly radiant

This press powder is so good, absorb shininess, provide good coverage of not so even skin tone. It's not heavy and so sheer that no one can tell you have put the powder on. Really make you look radiant and your skin glow.

I have read some comments about this product and complaints on the sponge not fitting in the compact itself. Just know that this compact comes in a beautiful black pouch! Keeping the sponge away from the powder in its separate compartment provided in this pouch has been great for me, as I know it's not wasting product. With that being said.. This is a wonderful pressed powder. It's lightweight and leaves my skin feeling very soft! I love toting this around in my purse for touch ups! The compact itself is beautiful too with a nice sized mirror!

low quality sponge

My biggest problem with this product was that there was not a good quality, portable, convenient applicator sponge. Though it came with a small sponge, it was tiny, and wouldn't even fit inside. The product is basically made for use with a brush. As such, it functions more like a lose powder, than a sheer pressed powder. When using a brush it works well. But with an applicator the powder doesn't bind well and a lot comes off. I needed a portable sheer powder on the go. Was too inconvenient for me. Went back. :(

Sheer and Fine

The powder is really fine just like finishing powder, so you never really have to use any finishing powder with this. However, it's a very sheer cover, so I'd apply over some liquid foundation. The compact is beautiful and I love the cover it came in with - with a puff pad (that I'd never use because it's so nice and soft - I used a brush).

Love, love this powder!!! It has such a silky texture, it absolutely glides over your skin without feeling heavy. Your skin looks luminous yet polished!

This is a great powder and did everything I needed it to do: mattifying, good coverage, blendable, soft. The packaging is pretty and a decent size, until you realize how little product is actually in here. I've switched to D&G foundation powder which is better, and actually CHEAPER. To get the same amount of product, the YSL compact would be $69! Better versatility and coverage from D&G, so if you're on the fence, consider that the D&G for the same amount as this compact would only be $39.

Wonderful powder!

not cakey...not drying... just right in coverage and color. It doesn't look like you're wearing powder but it does make you look 'finished'!
