Watertone - Foundation

I have tried this brand before and liked. This one thought is ‘watery’. Each time I pump, the foundation sprays everywhere. I have to remember to aim low in the sink

Color is not the same with other MUF foundation.

Color shade is different than other MUF foundation. I am using UHD(before change formulation) Y225. It is totally different color. I thought same color shade when I ordered. Because same brand same color number. This foundation way brighter than UHD old version. I like texture (except strong smell..). Very light and easy to apply. Also packaging is very annoying. It spray everywhere. Make my clothes and table messy… I would’t expect like this mess for pressing first pump.

Really nice natural look

Ok this stuff is awesome, It doesn’t even look like I’m wearing foundation it goes on so nicely. I’m 42 and although I have great skin for my age I find the heavier foundations are starting to accentuate the loss of elasticity and the fine lines. When I don’t want to wear a lot of makeup I use this and the magical tarte under eye colour corrector and a bit of mascara and blush and looks very clean and natural. It seems to have great lasting power too. I’m only knocking off a star for the packaging as it is very annoying…I use the ultra HD makeup forever and that pump works fine, don’t know why they had to put this weird clicky-pump on as it can spray you with product if you aren’t careful. It also does have a fragrance as others have noted but it doesn’t last and it’s not horrible while it dissipates.

I like this foundation I’m glad I did not listen to the negative reviews it goes on very easy with a skin like finish and the dry down is super pretty!! It’s just what it says a skin perfecting tint

Skin-like finish

The good: Skin-like finish, not matte or flat. If you liked UD Naked Skin or NARS Sheer Glow this could be your new go-to. I have quite a bit of redness in my face and this covers enough, I go in and layer where I need it. Y245 is a great shade for light olive skin, it's one of the only shades I don't need to mix with something else for my skin tone. I find a denser foundation brush is best vs fingers or a sponge. The bad: Pump is defective, like another reviewer said. Sprays foundation in many directions :( I hope the deep sale that's on right now means they're redoing the packaging. Not transfer-proof like it claims. Smells strong (but not terrible, to me) - I'm nervous to use around my eyes for this reason. Dries down fast so work in small sections. Don't pick your shade by the bottle it's really 2-3 shades darker once it applies and dries.

Try yourself..

don't get about negative reviews. except the Smell. yes Smell is terrible and only for few seconds after it's gone. I have combination skin and it's sit well for almost 7 hours. I set it with Urban Decay setting spray. No powder. no cracks no fade. I will suggest try by yourself as everyone has different skin type. and also it's on sale plus 20% or 15% or 10% more off. total worth it.

Disappointed

I expected this to be an update to the original MUFE Face and Body Liquid Makeup, but there is no resemblance to the original whatsoever. The coverage is thin and the overpowering smell is terrible. It's going back.

Bad re-formulation

As a long time (>5 years) use of the old make-up forever waterblend foundation (and before that the makeup forever face and body), this formula is a huge disappointment for two reasons. 1) The scent is horrible, over-powering, and is a complete deal-breaker. 2) This formula is not as "watery" as the last two versions...it dries down significantly quicker, making it less convenient to slap on and go. It is similar to the last version in that the colour match and the finish is similar, and I do not have any problems with the pump/packaging. Personally though, the fragrance is enough of a deal breaker that I will be moving to MAC face and body, and hopefully MUFE will come out with a re-formulation ASAP without the fragrance.

give it a chance!

Soooo reading all the negative reviews I totally get it, it does not provide full coverage and it is a different type of consistency, very watery. But you have to keep an open mind. This was actualy perfect for me, I only have a little acne mostly acne scars and some redness around nose, this covers those areas just enough. You can still see some redness through but not really, what this does it makes it look like you have naturally clear fresh looking skin, I repeat you cannot tell your wearing foundation. It looks like skin, two, you cannot feel the product on your face. This is why I usually stick with powder foundation cuz I hate how liquid foundation feels on my face. This is great cuz you can’t feel it even slightly so there isn’t that urge to wash face. When I first applied it I said to myself okay it’s pretty watery, wonder what the coverage will be, it ends up being just enough as long as your acne isn’t too bad. I looked in the mirror an hour later and realized it looks like you’re not wearing foundation, just looks like you have naturally good skin so for that being pretty unique for a foundation, I give it 5 stars.

It’s a NO for me.

I was really hoping this would be similar to their face and body foundation they discontinued but it definitely wasn’t. It’s to watery and I felt you couldn’t build coverage. At times it would leave it streaky and a sponge just soaked up the product. Also, the fragrance was to strong.

pretty sheer coverage. Not an awful foundation thought. The low stars is for the smell. I don't understand why foundation needs perfume in it. I'm fairly sensitive to smell and I could smell myself from a mile away.

fragrance too strong

the fragrance was so strong and it broke me out even tho i only wore it for a few hours. basically no coverage so it just made my skin look worse :(
