This Uncoverup Concealer goes on

This Uncoverup Concealer goes on with ease, the texture is very smooth and it is not at all cakey. I have some redness on my cheeks and this concealer is magic! I am so glad I took the plunge and purchased this!

Smells rancid but its new

The product itself is a 5 star , Its great for extremely dry skin and looks better throught the day as it obsorbs into the skin. It also looks natural like skin. Only issue i had is it smells rancid this time like cigarrets unlike other times i purchased it.

The concealer of my dreams!

Oh my goodness gracious! I do not have adjectives effusive enough to describe how much I love this concealer. Most liquid concealers ask us to trade dark circles for crepey dry skin and visible wrinkles. This product is the solution to that problem. It settles perfectly on the skin without sinking into fine lines. It has just a touch of luminescence for a subtle glow, and it makes the dark circles invisible without really looking like makeup. The 00 shade looked a little yellow to me in the container, but it works perfectly on my skin to balance the blueish green tinge under my eyes.

Keep coming back!

I’ve tried every clean Concealer on the market and keep coming back to the uncoverup. Others were making my under eyes dry. This one is so nourishing. I can’t tell yet if it makes my acne prone chin area break out

There is no other concealer

There is no other concealer that feels so good and covers so well! Very impressive! Color match for fair skin is perfect!

It sounds good on paper

It sounds good on paper and in video demos. But for someone is not a talented makeup artist, I find this product a bit difficult to work with. It is very dry and stiff, even when warmed up. I also attempted to mix it with the oil, as suggested. . . not a finish I was looking for.

Unfortunately not for me

I used to use RMS about 8 years ago and prefer clean products. I enjoyed it the time I did use it and there wasn't really a reason why I stopped at that time necessarily. Just trying other products and finding ones I liked etc. I recently decided to give RMS a try again. Here is my honest review after using the product lightly every day over the span of a week and a half. I also used the undereye color corrector and their glow spf serum in tandem with this product. (These are not the product names). On day one - I noticed after immediate application that my skin felt irritated. On day two and three - more irritation. I kind of wrote it off since my skin only feels this way when I use unclean products. And RMS swears by their clean ingredients and formulations. After a few days, I began to have breakouts to a level that are not normal for me. I sometimes get a pimple here or there depending on my cycle, but the breakouts correlated with the start of using these products. Disclaimer - I recently suffered a concussion and my body is going through a greater period of stress than usual so the reality is that the cortisol may be creating breakouts and these products were just enough stress to put my skin over the edge. A person in a normal state physically may not react as I did. As I tried to cover up my breakouts with this product, they seemed to get worse. I don't have angry, painful acne and this product made the breakouts "angry" in a way I am not used to. Also - it may have been other RMS products that caused the irritation that I listed above. PROs: This uncover concealer does provide sheer to medium to almost full coverage depending on how you use it. It does blend out beautifully and makes the skin look and feel like skin. I could see someone with less sensitive skin really enjoying this product and using it faithfully. CONs: I opened the pot and the product consistency felt grainy as I rubbed my finger on it to use it. I don't remember my uncover concealer consistency being like that years ago. I am not sure if the formula changed or what, or if I am remembering incorrectly. It doesn't feel grainy on the skin when applied but I am not sure what the value of a grainy product in the pot would be. MUA can correct me or add insight here! When I used RMS uncover years ago, it was my faithful makeup choice and I really enjoyed it and repurchased often over the span of a few years. But unfortunately in this season of life whether from potential formula changes, personal physical changes / my own skin sensitivities, or the products taking a dive in quality; I can't continue to use these products. I gave this product three stars because while this product effected me poorly, I can see how someone else may love it and the finish is beautiful. I wish I could use these products! Take my review with a grain of salt and I hope you have a different experience.

I waited a long time

I waited a long time to buy this concealer, but I really should not have waited! It’s everything that it advertises. Great coverage, doesn’t sit on top of the skin or crease. I’m 57 with skin that’s beginning to be crepey, and it’s very hard to find a concealer that covers my dark circles without looking cakey. Until now. I absolutely love it!

Meh

I wanted to love this, but I find it barely covers and it's shiny. A setting powder helps take down the shine, but it doesn't perform like a true concealer for me.

Essential! LOVE it!

I have used this for 15 years and absolutely LOVE it! Great shade choices and a must-have in your makeup kit!
