Regenerating Shampoo - Prickly Pear Oil

really smells BAD

I am not picky about smells but this smells awful, and it lingers. The shampoo did not do much for my hair. It's like straw afterward, so I have to use rinse-out conditioner just to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. Normally I would skip it and just use leave-in conditioner. But no way can I do that with this shampoo. It literally leaves my hair a rats nest - in the shower! It was pricey so I'm using it up, but not enjoying it.

God, I wanted to hate this, but it’s the best formula for my bleached, frizzy, long, fine hair! If there is a dupe out there. I would love to find it.

No difference in my hair after 3+ weeks. I have red curly/wavy hair that gets frizzy and this made no difference. Used it with the conditioner and neither seemed to help.

so dont knock it off my review, but i will say it did not work for me. I use the prickly pear mask after this (70$) this and it feels like its drying my hair. My hair sheds more with this stuff. I did only use this 3 times but im scared to go any further. I might just pass this off to someone. Btw im blk/white mix textured hair that easily get dried. This stuff cost alot of money. Im so sad it wasnt for me

Try hair masks before you try luxury shampoos

I'll just level with you. If you have healthy hair that has never been processed or dyed, you don't need a luxury shampoo. I learned the non-cost-effective way that the products that are meant to repair, regenerate, heal, and nourish make a tradeoff with cleanliness, and then you're stuck buying additional products to clean up the buildup that is left from these nourishing ingredients. My recommendation is to instead buy a regular shampoo that is more cleansing than this one, and just use a hair mask once in a while instead. That'll be more effective.

made my dry hair silky soft

NEVER in my 34 years of life have i used a shampoo like this — after a rinse, my hair feels silky, with enough slip to comb through knots. My hair is naturally dry and textured, and bleaching it platinum blonde hasn’t done my hair health any favors. Now I’ve had shampoos that have worked for me, as long as it isn’t too drying I’m ok. I bought this on a whim, thought I’d try out the whole line since I like the mask so much, but I really wasn’t expecting a lot. This is well over twice what I normally spend on shampoo. And really, I was shocked at how my hair felt after using this, before putting conditioner on! I looked at the ingredients to see just how much silicone was in here, but there’s none. I’m not going to call this a must-buy, but if your hair is dry and damaged, and you don’t mind the price, it’s hands down the best shampoo I’ve ever used. Ever.

LOVE this shampoo. I have extremely dry ends that look like the bottom of a broom, most of the products I use tend to weigh down the top of my hair so it never looks quite right. This shampoo hydrates my ends and creates volume for my roots. It’s the perfect shampoo.

My hair is super dry with “fried like” texture. This is the only shampoo that makes it soft and shiny. It is very expensive but I have not found any other shampoo of this quality. I am currently using Oribe which Sephora does not sell and this shampoo is still better. I would recommend to anyone with big and dry hair. The shampoo does not leather too much so if you have oily and thin hair this is not for you.

I'm still a little ashamed that I paid $55 for shampoo, but what can I say? The bottle was pretty, it has a pump top, and it smells amazing - a bit chemically at first, but a lovely musk once it lathers. And it lathers beautifully. A little goes a long way and I have a short pixie that I don't wash daily, so this will last a very long time. It leaves my bleached-to-platinum, fine, thin hair super smooth but never weighed down. Yes, you can buy a cheaper shampoo that works just as well but I wasn't expecting a miracle anyway. It adds a little luxury to the chore of washing my hair, which is all I wanted to begin with.

Love h w my hair shines but the smell of this is awful. The shine and health it gives my hair is enough for me to get past the smell. A bit over priced but they all are now a Days. Got a sample and ended up purchasing the full size.
