Whoa, this is a gorgeous blue-red. I usually use two layers for intensity. 8/10 on moisture.

Maraschino Classic red is very pink, not red.

Classic red was extremely pink, and I enjoyed the formula and colors of cheaper drug store dupes more. I do love that you can swipe it on without a mirror though.

Very pretty and light!

I’m a fan! This is a great moisturizing balm and my lips don’t end up dried or feeling crusty throughout the day. I can reapply without a mirror throughout the day, which is great! The colour is a sheer minimalist look, but very buildable. This comes with a lot of product and will also last quite a long time, so the value is excellent. I’ll definitely purchase again to try the different colours!

Nice Product, Better Alternatives

I really wanted to love this product! I love most of Clinique's products, so I thought that I'd try this one out. I'll start with something good about this product: for a "lip balm", it's really pigmented, which is nice! However, I purchased this product in "Mightiest Maraschino", which is described to be a "classic red", but it's not quite a true red; to me, it shows up as much more of a pinkish-red (which is fine for me, since I like the shade, but just keep in mind that it's not going to be a true, classic red like actual lipsticks). Also, I don't know if I would describe this is a lip balm - I don't find it particularly moisturizing. However, I know that a lot of other brands are calling products like this that aren't super moisturizing or hydrating "balms" or "treatments", such as Fresh, with their Sugar Lip Balm, or Kiehl's, with their Butterstick Lip Treatment. Maybe this is the direction in which lip balms are moving towards? Anyway, I do think that the products that I mentioned above (the Kiehl's Butterstick Lip Treatment and the Fresh Sugar Lip Balm) are better products than this - they're both similar prices to this, but they both come with SPF treatment, which is actually really important for your lips (your lips can suffer from UV damage too!). Fresh also has more colors as well! In conclusion, I would recommend this product to people that really like Clinique and are looking for a slightly-moisturizing lipstick (yes, I said lipstick; I really wouldn't say that this is a lip balm) with a nice, more understated pigment.

it’s a yes for me!

I used to swear by liquid lipsticks but lately I’ve been loving the ‘natural’ minimal glass skin look. This colour lip balm is so cute and natural and the colour compliments my complexion perfectly! It may look dark when looking at the lipstick but one swipe on the lips and it looks so perfect, natural and pouty! I’ve been liking this product over liquid lipsticks or lipsticks for everyday looks.

I love this product, I am currently using two different colours, it’s super moisturizing and very light on my lips.

I received a full-size sample of this from Clinique. The color on the models’ arms is WAY off. This is a hot pink with a blue undertone. The color really pops. The knock is that it doesn’t seal/set for me. It stays bright on my lips (like a stain) but also comes off on everything. My lips seem to “molt” with this. They aren’t dry, but this definitely messes with them.

These are a deal! You don’t need a lipliner. I got the deep red cherry and wear minimal makeup with it. Deep reds look best that way after a certain age. I want more! The grape was a bit dark on me but loads of colors and long lasting! Another beautiful rich balm is Tarte. Nude isn’t really nude. Plenty of color. Moisturizing. I just moved to high altitude desert Santa Fe. Lip balm a must! A fabulous place but boy! Is it dry here! I but a moisturizing lip sunscreen on under the balms only when out doors.

This feels like butter on your lips, it’s so moisturizing. It’s color is very strong so you don’t get compromised with color in a balm. I liked it so much I bought another. The one I have is the true red one and it’s a great true red. It’s wonderful!

Beautiful, Luxurious Hydration

I've begun to become obsessed with all things Clinique recently and this is no exception. The color is stunning and it glides on beautifully. I haven't tested it to see how long it lasts throughout the day and against food and drinks, but I suspect you'll have to reapply often based on the butteriness of it. That doesn't seem like it'll be an issue, though, as it didn't cake up or bleed into the cracks of my lips at all on my first and only wear of it. It just kind of disappeared over time, like a lip balm. I expect reapplying during the day and night will be a pleasure instead of wiping off and reapplying. I will definitely be purchasing more shades of this beautiful and comfortable lip balm.
